Ulun Danu Bratan Temple – This temple was built on the shore of the lake in honor of Dewi Danu, the goddess of the lake that was created 30,000 years ago as a result of an explosion of a nearby volcano.

Candikuning Village, Baturiti Subdistrict, and Tabanan regency in Bali, Indonesia are the physical locations of the administrative headquarters of the Ulun Danu Beratan Temple. The temple may be found in the central part of the island of Bali, some fifty kilometers to the north of Denpasar, on the main road that runs between those two cities (Denpasar and Singaraja).

Historically, this Temple was constructed by I Gusti Agung Putu in the 1556 Saka year, which corresponds to 1634 AD. It is currently maintained by four Satakan from the customary villages that surround the temple, and it has the following components:

Satakan Candi Kuning encompassing 5 Bendesa Adat (head of villages)
Satakan Bangah spanning 3 Bendesa Adat.
Satakan Antapan spanning 4 Bendesa Adat.
Satakan Baturiti spanning 6 Bendesa Adat.
